It’s 11pm and the last child is finally asleep. We had mandatory nap time with afternoon in anticipation of our late night of fireworks. We met up with some family and walked down to the boardwalk. Naturally the kids got bored waiting for them to start, but once they started they seemed to enjoy them (at least for a little while!) We all got home hungry, thirsty, and very tired! I’ll post more photos tomorrow, but for now it is bedtime!

07-01-17 Six Nights
Tonight will be officially six nights without my children, but I will be getting them after church tomorrow so that I can take them to the fireworks in the evening. It has been strange to not have them here, their voices not echoing through the house. I miss their laughter, their noise, their bustle. I’ve gotten a great deal accomplished, especially today, but I will be so very happy to have them home!
Molly has been extra affectionate since they have been gone, and has made simple household chores take a little longer because she insists on extra cuddles. I’m ok with that, though. We’ve been keeping each other company!
Just a few more hours!
