There’s a park about ten minutes from our house that has a theatre in it. We have been once before when we took the kids to see the marionette show last year. The local newspaper noted that there would be a puppet show today, so this morning the kids and I went.

The one woman show lasted about 45 minutes and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The actress also doubled as a puppeteer, and she did all the characters herself. The show was done entirely in miming, with a musical sound track to accompany the action onstage.

After the show the kids got to go up and meet her and the puppet, and ask any questions they wanted. We learned that she had written the show and has already performed it close to 200 hundred times.

We spent most of the rest of the day playing with friends and then playing outside when we got home.
