I’ve been working a lot of hours at the shop lately. My kids have been staying home with my mom most days and often they play with the neighbors or have a friend over.

However today my mom had a hip replacement. Since I was still needed at the shop, I packed up the kids and we headed in.

It was a long day for all of us and I’ll admit I was pretty cranky for a good portion of it. Thankfully this evening calmed down and we had nothing but smiles and hugs at bedtime.

Since I have a few more days of this rigorous schedule ahead of me, the kids are going to spend a couple of days with their other grandparents. When we told them they got so incredibly excited. So tomorrow we will pack their overnight bags and Grandma will pick them up. I’m very happy for them that they will get this special time with two people they love very much… But I sure will miss them!
